VEHICLE OPERATORS-Wheelchair Accessible Taxi-WAT-IMMEDIATE START
If you like driving, enjoy meeting people and seek the freedom of setting your own work pace, driving for Ability will appeal to you. Earnings from driving are based on your work ethic & is 50% of daily earnings less any fees.
Our focus is services to people reliant on wheelchairs and/or have disabilities and general passenger services .
We work on demand off taxi ranks and booked services from our radio room.
We service Launceston but can travel Statewide.
What you need
· Be over 21 years of age
· Hold a full Tasmanian drivers licence.
· Confident English/Math's
· Neat presentation
· Willing to work
· Physically fit
· Pass a commercial drivers medical
· Be reliable
· Team player
· Self motivated
· Available to work

- Obtain a national Police check.(6-8 week wait)
- Apply to Tax Office for ABN

Working Hours: Dependent on availaibility

General Description:
Operates within a private health & support service / multi function company. The business provides services to Government & NGO & private clients.
The primary functions of the business include, but are not restricted to; Respite, Aged Care, Disability Services, Domestic Support and Transport Services.
· Primary Tasks include :
Personal support to clients
Domestic support to clients
Work within company guidelines for OH&S
Social support
In home respite
Responsibilities:
Maintaining time-lines, processes to achieve outcomes for clients
Continual in-service education related to this position.

Job Requirements:
· Practical, demonstrable experience within care sector.
· Knowledge of safe lifting and related equipment.
· Neat appearance and good communication skills
· Ability to work under supervision & to adapt to change.
· Experience within the Disability / Aged Care sector .
· Current driver licence
. Certificate 2/3 in aged, disability, or community services . Workplace 2 in First Aid Applicants must provide 2 work related and 1 personal referee
Pre employment check
Federal police check initially and each 3 years, State police check yearly.

Essential Education Elements
· Literacy and numeracy skills adequate to follow written instructions and write reports as required.
